Login broken?

    Hi WordPressers,

    Since this morning my login page is all screwed up. Whenever i enter my admin login, or use the social connect plugin to log in via facebook, the page just reloads without me loging in. I already checked this with a different connection, but it seems i am not locked out. My mobile device was still logged in, and i can reach the admin panel from there for now, but i would like to fix the login page so i can continue working on my computer.

    My plugins are:
    – 404-redirected
    – admin bar disabler
    – akismet
    – better wp security
    – easy wp cookie popup
    – google sitemap generator
    – header footer
    – limit login attempts
    – theme my login
    – ultimate maintenance mode
    – w3 total cache
    – wordpress seo
    – wordpress social login
    – wp hide dashboard
    – wp modal login

    I changed nothing over the night and yesterday it worked like a charm. What could have went wrong. Oh i also have to note that for some reason, one of my plugins (most likely better wp security) has created a setcookiewpprotect.php and edited the .htaccess file. I already reverted this. Please help! Thanks in advance!

  • Deactivate all plugins and see if it helps. If yes, activate them one by one to locate the problematic one.

    I am just slamming my head against the desk for not thinking of this. With all the plugins deactivated, login works again like it should. Ill give you a head up on which was the culprit. Give me a sec.

    Culprit found! Theme my login did it! Gonna fix it right away! Thanks for the hint!

    Well, it still caused some bugs. When i log in, the page still shows a login button instead of a logout button.

    Flush caching plugins, if any, and flush server and/or browser caches and see if it helps. If not use another machine and/or different browsers. If you still have problems, run the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php

    I just trashed theme my login and found an alternative that works just fine. Thanks for helping out!
