Login credentials and password reset not working

    Hi,

    After updating to new WP version in two of my websites I am having a recurrent problem: login credentials do not work and password reset is not working either. I tried renaming plugins directory, and nothing. Also, use some of the different reset options mention here https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Resetting_Your_Password but it does not work either.

    The websites work ok from the client point of view but I cannot access admin panel. Any help or idea would be welcome… I am seeing many people with the same problem…

  • Have you tried:

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    @esmi thanks… after re-uploading files and folders from a fresh download it works.
