Today, when trying to login to my WP admin, I entered my username, password, answered the ‘prove your humanity’ math problem, then was directed to the Captcha screen/dialogue box as usual.

BUT… when I entered the Captcha text, it kicks me right back to the login and repeats over and over. I can’t get in.

I have no idea what to do next, or how to login.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Please bear in mind I am a complete technical novice. Please spell out, step by step, any advice you may have.

    THANKS so much!

you can disable the plugin by renaming the plugin folder “wp-limit-login-attempts” in wp-content/plugins/ via FTP

try contact the plugin author for the issue

    Thanks so much.

Where do I go to rename the plugin folder, though? Do I go to my hosting company? Where do I find FTP?

Sorry; I just don’t know how to do what you’re asking me to.

    Thanks for your help!

you can contact your web hosting provider for support
