There is always an error on first attempt to login to the WordPress backend (wp-admin page).
    i.e.
The correct login details, and correct captcha resolution (confirmed by check mark) still always yield a red error message after clicking login on first attempt:
    “Error: Please complete the captcha”

If user reattempts again, it always successfully logs in the second time.

Then (in case it is related), once the WP admin dashboard loads up, the Chrome developer tools console reports the following error:

    GET ../wp-content/plugins/hcaptcha-for-forms-and-more/assets/css/admin.css?ver=1.5.3 net::ERR_ABORTED 404

This file is not in the plugin files at all.

Are these two separate issues with this plugin, or are they related?
    How are they fixed?

Note: Have latest plugin version 1.5.3 installed.
(Update plugin was just updated to 1.5.4 and issue remains)

Thanks for any help (as I would much rather use hCaptha over Goog)

Hi, the 404 CSS call should have gone away in 1.5.4.

Please open a ticket with more reproduction info at https://github.com/hCaptcha/hcaptcha-wordpress-plugin regarding “Error: Please complete the captcha”; that does not happen for me.

You are correct that version 1.5.4 has now fixed the 404 error thanks.

However, the ‘Please complete captcha’ error on the first attempt to login to the back-end admin panel remains (thankfully it does not occur on the front-end login page used for my woocommerce members).

    To recreate:
    – I dont recall this happening when I set the hcaptcha difficulty to medium level in my hcaptcha account (which involves two sets of images) – but since I have now set the difficulty to easy (which displays only one set of images), the error always appears after the first login attempt (after successfully solving the initial captcha), and the second attempt always works (so it is definitely a procedural issue – rather than some intermittent failure or user error).

Hi, please open an issue on github if this is still happening.

Thanks, something must have been fixed at the hCaptcha servers (for low difficulty settings), because this error is no longer appearing now.

Thanks for making this a decent alternative to the other captcha options.
