Hi! I’m having a problem where the colorlib modified login form is missing the username and password labels (no text, no space placeholders) during an actual login attempt. But they do display properly in the customizer settings preview window. Also, changing the label text color does not affect the label color in the preview window. I can change the login button text, but changing the color does not change the preview.

I deactivated all plugins that could possibly affect CSS or forms or logins, but it still occurs. It’s a recent problem and it used to work with all my plugins activated.

I recently moved my site from Nginx on ubuntu 18.10 to Apache2 on ubuntu 19.04, and I believe it worked correctly after the move.

I did uninstall colorlib login customizer, delete the clc-options record in wp-options, then reinstall, a couple times and it doesn’t change the behavior.

I’ve tried playing with the login form height, removing any padding settings for the form. No idea what to look at or try next. Looking for help on what to look at next. Thanks!

PS, I have a photo showing the issue, but I don’t have a way of putting it online for you to see. I could email a PNG file, etc.

  • Hello @cleanerorc,

Can you please go to Appearance > Customize > Colorlib Login Customizer > Login Form Texts > and enter labels there for them then save?
This should fix it. Please let me know how it goes.

Thank you for also letting me know about the preview and logo. We will open a ticket on GitHub regarding this so we can find and fix in a future update.

    Than you,
    Mihaela

Found the problem. Was interference from my incorrectly setting a Custom Login property in the BuddyBoss theme.

I use the BuddyBoss theme and they have a setting to use a Custom Login page where they provide minimal ability to modify the stock login form. I must have enabled that at some recent point, and it interferes with ColorLib Login Customizer settings like form label and login link text colors and form field label placement. I’d forgotten about changing it.

ColorLib Login Customizer works perfectly again since I turned that off. Sorry for the false alarm. I just saw the setting today and tried it.

    Thanks kindly for your patience!
