login hell

I have tried every trick in the book. I cannot log into my admin panel.

I am almost ready to re install but that would destroy my site.

I tried emergency.php. I tried clicking on send new password. Nothing happens. No password is sent.

The emergency says: wrong user name.

there must be an easy backdoor solution. Every solution is very involuted.
