    hi guys,

first of all, i love your plugin. i’ve been using it for years on many customer websites. i stop using it from now on because of one unsolvable problem.

on every website i use cookie based brute force login protection. on every page without no change in site url, cache system, aiso settings, htaccess or anything else at some time i can’t log in to admin anymore. in any browser. customers complain about the same effect.

    i clear my cookies.
    i remove aios htaccess entries.
disable the plugin by renaming it.
    remove all aios db tables.
    plus all entries in wp_options.
and the aios backup folder underneath wp-content

usually this works. after reconfiguring dozands of pages i can login again.

in one case now, really NOTHING helps. as son as i reinstall and reactivate the plugin no login or logout works. neither wp-login nor wp-admin nor secret url with cookies. i always get redirected to startpage. i’ve spent over an hour now and dozens of hours on other projects. this failure of aios occasionally occured on any of them. and in this case today, i can’T get rid of that error no way.

eher does aio get the wrong configuraiton from?

    happens in any browser.

If you have enabled cookie based brute force login then you can access the login page with secret word url. ( like {siteurl}?{secretword}=1 )

If you do not remember this secret word you can check below file in for latest AIOS version.

    wp-content\uploads\aios\firewall-rules\settings.php

If still issue in that file “aios_enable_brute_force_attack_prevention” remove 1 and make it blank so “” and try login with wp-login.php or renamed login page.

If still issue let me know.
