Login Issues

  • A few days ago I updated my wordpress site from 4.5.5 to 4.7. I also updated all plugins, but only activated those of which I knew what they did. Everything looked good then but now a member of my club said they can’t login (using this button). I tried it and also couldn’t do it. When you click on it the only thing that happens is https://www.iwc-sl.nl/ changes into https://www.iwc-sl.nl/#4e4od16scosg, but the page doesn’t change. But when I logged in through iwc-sl.nl/login it did work (this brings you to a new page). Why does the sign in button not work? (Signing out also doesn’t work)

  • Hi Martin,
    Your menu buttons don’t work either – it looks like a buddypress problem. Have you activated buddypress in the plugins?

    Yes I have activated all budypress plugins, but I will look at it again.

    EDIT: The menu does work when logged in.

    There is one BP plugin which isn’t activated because it triggers “a fatal error” when activating:

    Name: User Import for BuddyPress (All Fields)
    Error message:

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Warning: require_once(bp-core.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/deb88350/domains/iwc-sl.nl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/user-import-for-buddypress-all-fields/bp-user-import-adv.php on line 29M

    It looks like the issues are resolved – browsing to the site I can see the menu links working, and the sign in form appears.
