    This could be caused by a conflict with another plugin. Can you try disabling other plugins, and see if it will work after that?

    The most likely plugins to cause conflicts are other security plugins or captcha plugins, which may stop the login process before the attempt is logged, or may change WordPress’s internal login error messages.
