Login LockDown WordPress plugin out of date?

I used this plugin since 4 years. Now I read that it was not updated anymore since two years and might not work well with up-to-date wordpress version. E.g. when you forget your password and asking to send a new password to your e-mail box this might not happen.
Question is, is there a similar plugin which is updated and works fine with wordpress 3.5.1? Thanks for any help!
