    Hi there!

We recently had a plugin update and noticed that the Login NoCaptcha was not working properly this morning.
We generated new keys and it appears to work ok only when we select keys for “invisible” ReCaptcha. But we still get the plugin notice in WP Admin it’s not configured properly. Is it ok to use invisible?

Not sure if this is a bug with an update?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi!

The update was in relation to automated attacks, and should have no impact on the use of existing keys. All sites on which I use reCaptch are functioning as before and we’ve had no other reports of issues.

So, I’m not quite sure what’s up here. The “invisible” approach doesn’t seem like it will work, since to make this work the site needs to create its own button and the plugin does not do this currently.

If you can see the reCaptcha in the settings page after plugging in the settings, you should be safe to log out/in and the reCaptcha will function. Sometimes we have seen warnings when, in fact, the reCaptcha is functioning as expected–this may be due to ain intermittent issue with connectivity to Google.

Hope that helps! Do keep us posted if you find out more.

Hi–If you were formerly experiencing issues on WooCommerce customer login pages, this should now be resolved. See: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/error-on-woocommerce-login-page/#post-10148725

Apologies if I misunderstood your concern earlier.

I am not able to reproduce any issues with changing/deleting/saving new keys on my own installations. This likely means there is a specific incompatibility on your installation, such as a theme, plugin, or caching mechanism interfering here. Unfortunately, the best way to diagnose this is to disable plugins and switch to a default theme. Not a good option for a production system, but if you are on a cloud-based host where you can clone and test this, you may be able to pinpoint what is going on with your specific setup.

Sorry not to be able to offer more concrete assistance, but this does seem to be an issue unrelated to the recent release(s) and more likely caused by interaction with something outside the control of the reCaptcha plugin.
