    Hi,
showing a 404 is the plugins default behaviour. (Besides: Same as private posts in WordPress.) I am aware of the issue, but it would require some profound code refactoring. Currently I am struggeling with bugfixes and UI-improvements, so please do not expect a solution to come too soon.
    Cheers, j.

Thanks for the response. Good luck.

I have a solution for that.
You could add a 404.php page (or modify existing) to the theme templates.

In that file, either redirect to wp default login page or to your url to user login page or you could add a shortcode for a plugin login form.

@digidocs: right, but after user logged in, we would need to go to the page the user originally intended to go to. So there is some coding involved there with a redirection.
