    Hello,

I have tried to use wp hide my wp ghost but could only get safe mode to work. nevertheless, after deciding to revert back to disabled, deactivate, and remove the plugin, i am still stuck with changed paths.

Warning: We detected that the login URL of your live site is not the default ‘/wp-login.php’. Learn more.

how do i clean all changes done by hide my wp plugin until i am ready to try it again? Why is there no clean uninstall?

    Best regards,
    Kelly

  • Hi Kelly,

As far as I know, if a path is not changed after the plugin is deactivated, there should be from caching.

Try purging any server cache, plugin cache, and CDN cache like Cloudflare. Try also with incognito to avoid the browser cache when testing.

We checked and when the plugin is deactivated/deleted, the rewrite rules are also removed and the records from DB are removed.

    Hi Calin,

I have tried all of them and still get the same result again today after purging all Cloudflare caching. We are also working in development mode, so it is origin data only. no caching. You can try it yourself.

    Hi Kelly,

If you are able to log in using the path
    https://kava.house/your-account/
, go and delete the HMWP Ghost plugin from Plugins > All Plugins.

After you delete the plugin completely, check the default login path:
    https://kava.house/wp-login.php

Check also if you have any other security plugin installed which protects the login, and deactivate it to make sure it’s not from another plugin.

    Best, John

    HI John,

I checked and yes i did, it was perfmatters. Sorry for the trouble. There are many plugins with overlapping functionality. It is awfully hard to keep track. thank you. Kelly
