Login problem

  • I went to log in for my weekly update and I get this message “Denied due to too many login failures. Please wait 3 minutes before refreshing or you will be permanently blocked.” No matter how long I wait to refresh or try to access log in page I get this message. Is my site being attacked by a Brute force? Is there a way for me to repair this in my cPanel? Any help is appreciated.

    I went in my back end in cPanel and deleted Wordfence plug-in. I also received an email last week from Website Defender stating I had rogue plug-ins and such, but I never used Website Defender before. It seemed a bit fishy to me as well.

    Have you asked your hosting company about any blocking on their end?
