• Please help me resolve this problem. I’m using WP multisite and your plugin. It’s installed in the network plugins and activated for the network. It does not show up under any of the site plugins. So I’ve configured it from the settings under the network. I’ve configured it various ways according to your support forum and can’t get it to work. My problem is that I can’t get into my site and I’ve even excluded wp-admin but no matter what I try, it keeps sending me back to the maintenance page. The Admin Link on the page doesn’t work either. Please advise.

  • jaycee, it won’t show up under your individual site plugins list if it’s installed in your network via the network admin and it’s activated. i have a multisite setup and it does not show up on any site, only via the network admin area where i gain access to settings via the plugins.

    and if you are still locked out, try accessing your site using the login in for your site by replacing ‘yoursitewebaddress’ and removing the [] from the address below…

    [yoursitewebaddress]/wp-login.php

    i have one of the login security plugins installed, if i sit idle for too long it automatically logs me out and then i get the wp maintenance mode screen, then i have to log back in.

    now unless you somehow completely locked yourself out, which coming from a somewhat newcomer to wp seems pretty hard to do, try disabling any security plugins, including this plugin, via your server by renaming the folder(s) with a “_” space before it – that way you don’t delete it right now but disable it by renaming it. u can always re-enable each one by renaming them back w/o the space before it.

    i hope this may help.

    @automatedkid Thanks for your help!!!

    Yes, if you activate the plugin networkwide, then is the options also only in the plugin list on the network admin. The default login page of WP is wp-login.php, not wp-admin. If you leave the link to login, then you can find it on the splash page. This link use the default page of WordPress, get the link from the settings.

    no problem. if i have the time to respond to something i may have an answer to, it’s the least i can do to help out the authors who are making this transition to wp that much easier for me.

    so no need to reply. oh, skip that! please reply to my last response regarding the stylesheet. then u don’t need to reply anymore. ??

    Do you like a custom login url, a new field for this settings?

    @frank – is that question for me, frank?
