• Hello everybody,

I have a big problem. I’m currently building a new page and have spent many hours last week. Today I can no longer log in as an admin.

I tried everything I could find. function.php of the template, directly in the DB with MD5 … I don’t have SSH access.

What strikes me: The hash value in the database changes with every login attempt. It shouldn’t be, should it?

    Can someone give me tips?

  • Have you tried disabling all of your plugins by changing the name of the plugins folder under /wp-content/ temporarily via File Manager (or its equivalent on your hosting panel) or via FTP?
In most cases, that will allow you to log in temporarily, while you isolate the issue.

It’s a great idea. I didn’t think of that yet. I’ve tried it now, but unfortunately it doesn’t work either.

Oh wait Now it worked. I deleted the hash value. Then in the template wp_set_password (‘123456’, 1); entered. So far I’ve had that too. But now I have called up the page again, then deleted the line from functions.php and then the login worked.

    Thank you so much!
