Login Problems w/ Custom Template

I am new to designing custom templates for WP, but am very familiar with web design (XHTML, PHP, CSS, etc.). I recently followed a pretty simple tutorial on creating your own custom WP theme (Here). I enabled the theme through the dashboard, and all seemed well. All the pages, posts, menus, links, etc. work fine. If I try to login though, I get the normal login page, then nothing on submit. I just get a blank page, and no authentication. If I manually change the theme to any other (default, or other downloaded) through the mySQL DB, everything works fine. Any ideas/suggestions?
