• I just installed the latest version of WP on my machine to run as a localhost while I trial it and set things up and work on what I exactly want from a website.

Everything goes well until I try to login.

I type admin and the password and nothing happens.

If I go through the password reset I am sent a link then a new password but when I try to login again it just sits there with nothing happening.

If I put in the wrong login name or password I get a message informing me that it is the wrong login or password.

Any ideas how to fix this?

OK – I have isolated the problem to be a Zonealarm configuration problem. When I shut down Zonealarm everything is fine.

When I work out the Zonealarm configuration required I will post the fix.

I have the same problem, don’t have Zonealarm but Kaspersky. I allowed the local network (in filtration rules), but it don’t work either.
