    Hi,

At present I’m running one of my websites with a ‘hidden login’ – ie the usual login via wp-admin or wp-login won’t work and the hidden login needs to be used to access the dashboard for security reasons.

As you might have guessed from this thread, I’m thinking of adding a forum to my website, where I’m guessing that the WordPress General settings will need to be changed to ‘anyone can register’.

I’ve just been looking around and would like to add this forum, but how would it work with my ‘hidden login’ plugin – would that need to be deleted first, or would it run alongside it without giving away my hidden login details?

    Hi @deeveearr,
wpForo has own login and register pages. So all will be fine with your hidden pages.

Well hopefully that will save the need for creating a new sub-directory then.

Also from watching a few videos, I’ve noticed a few people are using Buddypress just for the login page, to save needing to go through the standard login form (a little messy), and to get a nice looking login and registration form.

Final question then, is does wpForo create these nice looking login and registration forms or do I need to use Buddypress for them?

Ah, just seen another topic which contains a forum, and the login, registration, and I guess the lost password, are all in the forum menu.

Really nice, so I’ll be adding it today!
