    Hello!

We have a secondary menu with pages that we only want to be available to logged in users (sensitive information), and the menu items are set to display only to logged in users, which works perfect.

Those certain pages’ settings under “UM Content Restriction” are set to “Logged in Users” (because we want the entire page secure, not just the menu item) with “What happens when users without access tries to view the content?” = “Redirect User” and “Where should users be redirected to?” = “Login Page”

I have “Login Options” for the member roles set to “Action to be taken after login” = “Refresh active page” so that if someone is navigating the site and clicks a link that requires an account, it will redirect to the login page, then, after they log in, it will go to the page they were intending to go to. That works fine also.

BUT, when accessing a secure page (page that requires a login) from a url linked externally — say, from social media — it doesn’t work. The user is redirected to the login page, but, after they log in, it will just reload the login page showing them logged in, not to the page they were intending to go to. OR, if the user is already logged in and they click an external link to one of our secure pages, it will just take them to the login page, showing them logged in, when it should just go to the intended page if they’re already logged in.

I’ve also noticed for a while that when accessing the site from an external link, the page (any page) loads as the user not logged in, but when navigating somewhere else on the site from that page, it shows the user as logged in again.

    Please help!

Can we not have the “UM Content Restriction” set to “Logged in Users” in order to use the page links externally?

Thank you for your quick response!
