login redirection to page before registration

Hi can anyone point me in the right direction

I’m using theme my login for my registration and login pages.

I have links around my site that are restricted to subscriber level.

If a non subscriber hits the link they are taken to the registration page.

When they complete the registration page they are taken to the login page.

when they login i want them to be redirected to the page they were on that took them to the registration page (as the link will now change because they are logged in)

The problem i have is effectively i want them to be redirected 2 clicks back from the login page (login and registration)

theme my login allows a refer url but this takes them back to the registration page (the page they were on before the login page) and because they are now logged in redirect them to my home page.

Ive been trying for hours with no joy any ideas??
