Login redirects to localhost

  • I get the login page

    mysite.com.au/wordpress/wp-login.php

    I enter the detail and it accepts them and redirects to:
    https://localhost/wordpress/wp-login.php

    Says localhost not available try again later

    What is wrong:

    I have Apache 2.4.18 with PHP 7 and MySQL5.7 all works and it is a live site. I am trying to install WordPress for othe rpeople to to develop the site remotely. However WordPress redirect to localhost as part of the abspath directive, why? Therefore does not go to WP-admin or any otehr files on the other directories.

    Do I hav eto bring WordPress to the main default “localhost” directory and not be a subdirectory?
