    Hi there,

    I am using this plugin but it’s not working how i was expecting.
    If i am logged in with an existing account for my website then the subscribe form works perfectly. If i am not logged in, however, (i.e. i am a guest user and want to subscribe) then i receive an error “There was a problem with the request” and the subscription does not follow through.

    Does anyone have any advice for a solution?

    Thanks in advance

    To subscribe, login is not required. This seems to be a little different issue.
    Kindly follow the steps in the FAQ 8 stating “I’m getting an error ‘There was a problem with the request’”.

    Hope this helps you.
    Have a great day ahead ??
    Please let me know what works for you and feel free to ping me back here for any more help.

    Thanks @prathameshp. You pointed me in the right direction and saved me a lot of time-wasting indeed. The link you suggested made mention of some anti-virus plugins conflicting with the subscription service and this was indeed the problem.
    I deactivated the WP-SpamShield Anti-Spam plugin and wo-and-behold subscriptions worked for all. ??

    Hi @codeninja88, @icegram and @prathameshp …perhaps I can help.

    @codeninja88: Unfortunately the Email Subscribers & Newsletters plugin is not compatible with WP-SpamShield. We have info about the Email Subscribers & Newsletters plugin on our Known Issues and Plugin Conflicts page. We also provide some alternative solutions. If you have any questions or need further help, feel free to contact our tech support team.

    @icegram and @prathameshp:
    We have found some issues in your AJAX code that cause conflicts with a lot of other plugins, because there is some deviation from WordPress coding best practices. We have a compatibility guide for plugin developers that may help. You can use the form at the bottom to contact us if you need help or have questions.
