login returns “Email already exists”

    1) I created a register and login page using “user registration”. registration page >submit>
    returns the registration page in spite of a redirect to “login”. No option to an activate page that I can get to work. And login > submit > returns registration page in spite of redirect to home page

    AND
    2) when a registered user tries to sign they get the message “Email already exists”!

    how do I fix this? Is there a better plugin someone could recommend?
