• Not completely sure of version, but i around the 3.5

Any how I get to login but get a white screen with:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/ekcom122/public_html/buildit/wp-admin/includes/dashboard.php on line 544

I can then remove the wp-admin/ from the URL and I will get my site with admin black strip at top.

I can click on the updates link in the black bar and get to my WordPress Updates section of admin.

I will then try the automated update and get the same error message as above but it will be different exhaust sizes, allocation sizes and files.

I can access the customize page from the drop down menu in the black strip and that is the only page otherwise I get the varied exhaust, allocations and files.

    Changing php limits in:
    php.ini
    .htaccess
    wp-config.php
all do nothing but get me the same error or a 500error

This all started when I tried to do an automated update.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

  • This all started when I tried to do an automated update.

Most likely, then, something went wrong with the auto update.

There are instructions in the Codex for doing a manual update. This is usually the way to go if you’re having this kind of problem.
