login screen is blank

  • Help! When I hit the Login button on my site I get nothing but a blank screen! I can’t get in to post anything or to do any blog administration.

    Please help! I have been using WordPress now for 3 years without too much trouble but I’ve never had this happen before.

    Is anybody else having this problem?

    Many thanks to anyone who can help me with this.

    Update:
    I tried logging in using a different browser. With Firefox I got a blank screen. With IE, I get this:
    ” The website cannot display the page
    HTTP 500
    Most likely causes:
    The website is under maintenance.
    The website has a programming error.

    What you can try:
    Refresh the page.

    Go back to the previous page.
