Login screen just refreshes and doesn't let me in

  • So everything is fine with my website, no changes, no issues. Just that I tried to get into the account and it won’t let me in. The login screen just refreshes and doesn’t move me into my dashboard.

    I have done nothing to stimulate this problem and am finding it very frustrating.

    When I change the password to a wrong password (I did this once) it comes up with an error.

    Can anyone help, this is quite worrying really.

  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Have you tried:

    resetting your password?
    clearing your browser cache?
    resetting password from inside phpMyadmin?

    Just some ideas

    Well I reset my cache and it didn’t work. hen I reset my password and even thought the reset url never turned up in my email I was then able to get in again.
