Login Shows Blank Page

I’m having the same problem as the user in this thread. When I connect to my local install I can view my site, however, when I try to log in to the admin area and enter my user/ password I am then taken to a blank page with the same URL as the login page. I’ve tried the solutions presented in the thread I linked to but I’m still getting the blank page at login. Anyone have some suggestions?
