• Hello,

I have problems with logging into WordPress: I enabled the hide backend feature, added my own slug and now my colleagues cannot login into the dashboard. What am I missing? I can well and truly log in with Chrome but not with Safari. So clearly I have saved something to Chrome that helps me to log in… Even trying to login in from the server’s side, I cannot make it. What am I doing wrong??

    Many thanks!!!!

  • Hi,

Are they able to reach the log in page? If not, what happens when they do try? Do the get an error message, redirect or something else?

What happens when you try to log in using Safari?

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

    Hello!

No they are not able to reach the page, the page tries to upload for quite a long time and then it gives an error message saying “no results”. When my colleagues tried to log in yesterday, the address changed to https://www.—.fi/login . Today, the address stays the same: https://www.—.fi/—

The same happens if I try Safari.

    Many thanks,
    Emilia

Oh no, now I cannot access even with Chrome. It says “This webpage has a redirect loop”. Obviously I did something wrong. What should I change in the htaccess file??

    Thanks!!

    Hey, anyone??

Experiencing same issue… enabled the hide backend feature… now unable to access WP admin. When I attempt to log-in, I receive an error that the page can not be found. Since I’m unable to access the admin to disable this option, would assume that I now need to do so through my plugin files?

    Hey,

    I finally found solutions:
First of all, backup ALL your site files.

Then, two things you could do: go to your cpanel and rename the ithemes plugin (look for Better-wp-security). OR, you can deactivate all your plugins via myphpadmin. So either:
    Renaming: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLgQedRvlo8 OR
    Doing it in myphpadmin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thWUmznqznk

After this you are able to log in again and disable the ‘hide backend’.

I got this redirect loop when I used iTheme Security plugin with Ultimate Member plugin. When I disabled Ultimate Member, the ‘hide backend’ was functioning well again. So you might have a same problem: some plugins don’t play nicely together…

    I hope this helps.
