Login Templates

Hello. I’m new to themed login pages and for the life of me, I can’t understand how this works. I’m looking for a simple way to add a picture to my login page to give my subscribers a polished login look.

Are there templates that can be chosen from with theme my login, or must I build it all myself? The current login now gives me too many options and looks rather messy.
