Login To Enroll button redirecting to WordPress Login after Log in through UO

  • Hi there, I have started to use your free Learndash plugin toolkit. I’m looking at the front end login module and this works great when clicking a link from a menu. However, Learndash has a ‘login to enroll’ button on the standard course page. When I try and select this then a couple of different things happen. If I have the Learndash 3.0 Login and Registration option enabled, then a pop up appears with the UO login panel. After putting in the login information, I’m then taken to a WordPress login rather than just having access to the course granted. The WordPress login then doesn’t recognise the email or password. If I don’t the have the Login and Registration option enabled, then clicking on Login to enroll takes me straight to the WordPress Login screen and again it doesn’t recognise the User info. Any ideas how I can turn off so I don’t have to use the WordPress Login? If I’m already logged in, then everything works fine and I’m simply enrolled onto the course at sign in. Thanks for any help you can provide!

    Hi @thefdtc, I do have a few concerns here.

    Generally speaking, we would not recommend using any of our login-related modules if you’re relying on the LearnDash 3.0 login and registration tools. We don’t use those ourselves and behaviour may be confusing.

    If you aren’t using theirs, it sounds like you’re not using our Front End Login module (which would negate the need to use the WordPress wp-login.php page)?

    It sounds sound like your issue is more on the LearnDash side with their registration system; I get the impression you’re trying to register from a course page, but registration isn’t creating a user for you or assigning course access. We unfortunately couldn’t help with that side of LearnDash though, as the behaviour wouldn’t be influenced by our plugins. (We also don’t have any type of registration form in our free plugin, some of our paid ones do but for specific enrollment scenarios only, not a generic registration form.)

    Hi there

    Many thanks for your response. I have turned off the LearnDash login and registration setting.

    I am using the Front End Login module, Log in and Log out links and log in and log out redirects. All are on. On selecting the Login to Enroll button on the course page, I am taken to the WordPress login page, not to the UO login page that I have set up.

    I also use profile builder to generate a registration form if that is of any relevance?
