Login to Profile Page Not Working Properly

  • I have run into a wall trying to figure this out. I have 4 Roles set-up for this app. If I register in 3 of them I can then login and go directly to the associated Profile page. On the 4th one, Employers, I login but it does some kind of Redirect to a form, still with a title of ‘Login’ but with links to Your Account and Logout.

    All plugins are updated. I have done the plugin/theme conflict test and created a new Profile page for this role to not avail. Also checked the Javascript console but don’t see anything obvious. All I see different is the URL for the Profiles of the 3 roles that work vs the one that does not. I have checked the Support for related optics and Google searched, tried everything I found. No luck.

    After entering UID/Pswd and clicking Login:

    URL of one that does work-
    https://www.myresapp.com/user/paulstu/

    Can anyone provide some insights?

  • Had the same problem but resolved it by changing rights both on the user and UM in the user profile

    In the user account on wordpress, probably the ultimate member user account is in conflict with wordpress user account, for example, your employee account is subscribed while your wordpress account is the author, it was my problem at least. After setting both as authors, login and redirect worked correctly in the ultimate member profile

    I’ll give that a look. We had removed the WP roles using code and turned off WP setting roles.

    It seems to recognize the um role and waits for admin approval for membership. Just when they login it goes to the form I don’t recognize.

    To Clarify:

    Under WP Settings/General, “Anyone can register” is not checked. I want to force the person to select only the roles on the UM Registration Page.
