• Hey guys I’m struggling with a WordPress principle I’m not understanding.

I have a website hosted locally and uploaded to a live server. When I’m logged into to it’s wordpress account I have a very extensive menu that allows me to use plugins and update the version of WordPress.

I also manage a different WordPress website that runs off a different server. This website was not built by me but I have been given the rights to add/edit and a whole bunch of stuff.

Now when I login to the second website – I don’t get the extended plugin menu! Only the basic WordPress menu appears but I need to use more features. In the passed I have added and edited plugins on this website and for the life of me I can’t figure out why I get the basic menu.

I have run into this issue in the past I’m lacking the understanding of why this is happening. Do I need do download the website off the server and make plugin changes locally through the folders?

    Any help would be appreciated
