  • Hey @schokolader,

Changing the wp-login.php URL can break plugins and themes functionality. It really isn’t that efficient in protecting a site. Here are some thoughts on this from our CEO.

Do you have any specific questions or concerns with setting up Wordfence?

    Thanks,

    Hello Gerroald,

thank you very much for your reply. I installed loginpress and there you can change the loginurl for security. But now wordfence is not showing bruteforce attacks anymore. So wordfence does not work anymore if the url is changed?

    Thank you
    Tobias

    Hey @schokolader,

You can disable the feature that changes the login URL, wait a while and see if you start getting attacks. It’s possible the attackers are looking for the standard pages, but it’s also possible the site isn’t currently under attack.

I wouldn’t mind testing this as well, but it looks like the Hide Login feature is a Pro feature. Please let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
