Hi, I tried out the Google recaptcha in the latest version of Wordfence Premium (having used a plugin by Bestwebsoft without problem) and was locked out of my site. The problem is odd: every time I visit the login page, I am not shown a captcha of any kind but told to click a ‘Login verification’ emai in my inbox. I have now received more than a dozen of these and none of them does anything: the browser window refused to respond to a click on the blue Login button. After much searching and tweaking, I had to complete reset Wordfence (using Wordfence Assistant) and delete the Google recaptcha details in the plugin. (It is working again in the Bestwebsoft version of the plugin.) Now I have no idea where the problem lies or if I will be again locked out if I try 2FA. Any ideas/advice?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey @patboran,

It sounds like there might be a conflict either with the theme or one of the plugins you’re using, could you try temporarily switching to a default theme if you’re not already using one and disabling all other plugins then reactivating them one by one to see if the issue persists?

To do so I recommend the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin which allows you to disable all plugins and switch to a default theme, but only for your user.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
