Hi @madgeshatbox,
I’m sorry to hear you’re having this trouble. Please ensure Wordfence is fully up-to-date, as some changes were made to reCAPTCHA in recent versions.
Please ensure you’ve allowlisted your IP in Wordfence > Login Security > Settings > General > Allowlisted IP addresses that bypass 2FA and reCAPTCHA. It may also help to double-check that IP detection is working correctly. To confirm whether IP detection is an issue, look up your public facing IP address at https://www.whatismyipaddress.com/ and visit Wordfence > Dashboard > Global Options > General Wordfence Options > How does Wordfence get IPs and cycle through the options. Your IP address should match the IP address shown on the line “Your IP with this setting“. Make sure to click SAVE CHANGES if you have to change this setting.
We don’t receive inside information from Google about why a human may sometimes receive a low enough score to always require verification. If you’re still having issues, you may consider enabling Run reCAPTCHA in test mode in Wordfence > Login Security > Settings > reCAPTCHA. You can then log in and view the reCAPTCHA scores statistics in Wordfence > Login Security > Settings > reCAPTCHA > reCAPTCHA human/bot threshold score. Leaving this mode enabled for a short time will allow you to see what sort of scores you get.
Thanks,
Margaret
