When you install WordPress and you set up your permalink settings, this creates your .htaccess file.

Thanks. But right now I am not able to edit. Which permission I have to change in order to work and where the htaccess file created .
Also which code I should Write on it. I try to create manually and it doesn’t let me create.

Try saving your permalink settings again. This should create your .htaccess file.

Ok. I tried but it didn’t create a .htaccess file. What kind of permission I need to set and which folder or files.
    Thanks

The .htaccess file is created in the root of your website. You will see all the WordPress php files plus the .htaccess file.

You need to FTP into your server or you might like to use Cpanel. I prefer to use FTP like filezilla which is free.

Ok. I saw now .htaccess file in htdocs folder. It was hidden. The htdoc folder include wp-admin/content/includes .
So when I click on wp security plugin whitelist and enter IP address has access to view the login page and click on save throws error saying update manually. Which code should I add so only I can see admin page.
    Thanks

Can you check the file permissions under Filesystem Security? Make sure they are all correct.
