  • Hi rasanik,

You might be misunderstand the function of LearnPress, LearnPress only provide feature for Learning Management System like creating, controling course, lesson and quiz. The function of logging in or out belong to WordPress itself. You can search google for “How to create login/logout button for WordPress” to have detail tutorial to do that.

    Best regards,

p.s: A normal user is a student, you can set up profile page in LearnPress settings, and put it in the menu, so user can access to their purchased course from that page.

    Hi rasanik,

Thank you for using LearnPress. However, you might be misunderstand the functions of LearnPress. LearnPress only provide tools for creating, controlling course, lesson or quiz and everything around it. The function of logging in or out belongs to WordPress itself, you can search for “How to create login/logout button in WordPress” for more detail tutorial.

A normal user is a student, you can setup profile page in LearnPress settings and put that page in the menu (or anywhere a normal user can access), then student can access their purchased course from that page.

Thank you for your fast reply Hoang, I know this is outside of your plugin, but Ive been searching the web for how to build the login widget for student login/logout. All I found was the widget for myself to enter my wordpress account. I ended up buying wp emember plugin to add it to learnpress but somehow the two still wont connect. Is there any link or login plugin or widget that is compatible with Learnpress?
I apologize if the question is irrelevant to here and thank you for your help.

    Hello Rasanik,

As far as I know, when a person logs into LearnPress, they are actually logging into WordPress, so the wordpress login/logout should work for you.

You can place the login/out on the pages via sidebar (in wordpress) or you may customize it differently (but within wordpress itself).

There are also plugins that can help at wordpress plugin directory (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search.php?q=login)\

Hope this helps. If I misunderstood your questions (and answered incorrectly), let me know

    Hello,
Please your help, thanks a lot in advance.I have the following questions:

    1. Can I configure the duration of each lesson , for example 15 days to complete each lesson ? How?
    2. Can I configure that the student be able to continue until the end of the previous lesson ? How?
    3. If I have class objects as video , or PDF, or audio, can I configure do not have permission for download? Only read or see and listen? How?

    4. How I can configure or enabled by student course progress ?

    5. If I have a course that is personalized , the student begins as soon pays , not on a specific date , because it is not a group , how should I configure the date of the course?

    6. There are some ecommerce themes, but in my case I’ll just sell a course in my blog, what should I consider when choosing the theme? Can I use one for free? Do you have some recommended ?

    7. I’ve heard that the LearnPress plugin brings a default theme . How to activate it? What is your name?

Thanks in advance for your recommendations, and…. for the plugin, of course!!!

    Hi SoyAlexandra,
I will answer your questions one by one:

    1. You can set the duration of each lesson right under the lesson edit. However it just the information, not the time restrict that student have to finish it on time.

    2. You can use add-on Content Drip to open each lesson.

    3. LearnPress just displays the content of course/lesson not store or manage them, so if you want to set permission to your file, try file manager plugin to do that.

    4. Student progress is available in the student profile.

    5. You can set the date of publishing a course. LearnPress does not have option to configure that date of the course.

    6. You can use any theme you want, LearnPress was designed to fit most of the theme. We just test LearnPress in default theme of WordPress (twenty fourteen, twenty fifteen), so unfortunately that I have no recommendation for you.

    7. LearnPress plugin has not come with any default theme yet. But it is an interesting idea. We would consider to make one after the 1.0 version release.

    Thank you for your questions.

    Best regards,

    Hello Hoanga Ha:

I have installed Learnpress – I have few questions.

1, How to add information in the news section as you see in https://astrologywebinar.com/

    2. Also, under course curriculum I have added the main topics – but I don’t want to add any detailed information. Right now it shows up as “no items available” under each topic. How can I stop this from showing. You can see the issue https://astrologywebinar.com/index.php/courses/beginner-webinar-course-in-astrology/

    3. When students click on buy class, it takes them to cart, and then checkout.. In checkout there ae 2 options, return customer and new customer and registration. Right now the link for registration is not working here and through the main wordpress widget. I thought this Is basic wordpress feature – can you please advice.

    Thanks
