login.php redirects back to wp-admin/install.php

  • After installing wordpress and getting the login information, I pressed Log In. For some reason it keeps redirecting back to wp-admin/install.php instead of login.php.

    Please help!

  • Got the same problem. Cannot login. WP is 2.7.1. Have to change it. Password updates, but does not let me in.

    Have you tried:

    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin?

    What’s in your root WP .htaccess file?
