• I have created a new WordPress site using the free Ascend theme. I am used to the theme and useally find my way around.

But now I have bumped into trouble. Site has a portfolio with Portfolio pages built with Featured images. When people click the website menu, they click on “Portfolio”. The page that opens are: domaninname.se/projects.

And the Logo in the menu, as well as the first page that opens when a visitors visit the site is not the same portfolio grid page example.com/projects. Instead it opens somethign that looks similar to it, but with fewer preview thumbs in the grid.

My wordpress site is set to open “Home”. I set that in Dashboard/Settings/Read/static page/Home

Why hoe opens this other similar portfolio grid page is beyond me. Cant figure it out.

But, that said, I like the start and logo to open example.com/projects.
But, again, the page “projects” doesnt excist in the drop down menu with pages to select from, inside the Dashboard/settings/Read.

    Any ideas?

Link to page is found in this temp page. Will later be removed https://canvas.nu/english/_a-temp-link

I see that when I hoover over any of the preview thumbs that comes with start and the clicking the logo, reads: example.com/portfolio . But when write, in a web browser my domain example.com/portfolio , it gets redirected and opens a page/link called: example.com/portfolio-no-margin/

Edit: i saw that this page called Portfolio have a preview link set to example.com/projects/

So its confusing its even getting redirected to example.com/portfolio-no-margin/

    Hey,
/portfolio/ is the slug for your portfolio posts. For example:

    Yoururl.com/portfolio/title

Your portfolio posts have a to have a url slug. In the premium theme you can edit the slug but there has to be something.

If you want to make a page that uses “portfolio” for the url slug you can do that, or you can open your page that uses “projects” as the slug and change that to portfolio right in the edit page options.

    Does that make sense?
