  • Hey Pat,

It could be related to how the plugin is storing the data. Can you send me a link to the plugin your using for that and I’ll see if there is a possible fix for that plugin…

    Hi Cory,

sorry, what link should I send you? I didn’t get that…

    Hey Pat,

Assuming that your using a plugin (from the screen shots above), I was looking for a link to the plugin you were using (one I can download and install to test the issue).

One other option I forgot to mention was that on step 2 of the installer under “Advanced options” is a check box for an option titled “Full Search” you might check that the next time you install as it will do a deeper scan of the update/replace logic…

    Cheers~

    Cory,

The plugin that caused the issue is Duplicator (latest version), obviously, why should I write you otherwise? The screenshots you see above are from the customizer. There’s no other plugin involved in this scenario.

    Thanks for your help,

    Pat

My bad, I thought it was a plugin you were using… I’ll add this to the todo list to check on… Sorry for the confusion!

    Thanks Cory!

    Hey Pat,

I tried a test with the “Twenty Fifteen” theme and the results for the logo persisted without any issues. Can I ask which theme your using?

    Thanks~

Alright I have reached out to the author…

    Hi Pat,

First, please note that if you experience any issue with Forstron theme, please contact the support forum at https://support.webmandesign.eu

Forstron currently supports custom logo image via Jetpack plugin. So, you need to have that enabled on your website to use the custom logo feature. The next theme update will get the native WordPress logo image compatibility added too.

As for where the logo image URL is being stored, this is in standard theme mods, so in wp_options database table under theme_mods_forstron record.

But I suppose activating Jetpack will resolve your issue.

I don’t know the Duplicator plugin, but the theme_mods_forstron is stored as serialized array in the database and you have to be aware of this when changing URL in there. Not many plugins can (could) handle that.

    Regards,

    Oliver

    Thanks for the update Oliver!

The Duplicator does handle serialized and base64 serialized data replacements. Does the theme_mods_forstron table use a primary key by chance?

    Hi Cory,

What do you mean? The theme_mods_THEMESLUG is a wp_options table record. It’s not a whole table, so it does not need primary key. Or do you mean something else?

    Regards,

    Oliver

I see… I miss-read your response I was under the assumption it had its own table, the plugin should handle the wp_options table values. Can you provide a quick example of it being stored (the full serialized value).

    Thanks
