logo in header disappears on tablet/phone when not placed in center / version 1.

I see there has been written a few things to try and solve this problem but I wonder if these solutions are for version 1.1 of theme twenty thirteen.

– I made a child theme of twenty thirteen
– show the site description (html because it behaves responsive)
– put the site title on “no display”
– uploaded an image with on the left a logo that I want to show above the site description, in line with the left side of the description sentence, size of image 1600 x 230 pixels

works fine on computer, but not on tablet and smartphone because the image does not stay in place (above the site description, in line with the left side of the description sentence)
