Logo Too Small

Hello,

I was wondering how to make the logo in the header larger. When I go to Customize > Logos & Site Title I can adjust the logo height with the slider or enter the pixel number manually, but no matter what number I enter the logo shows up tiny and unreadable on my website. The image that I am using for the header is 500px x 500px.
