I’ve tried “drop a file” and also “select a file” using both Firefox and IE.

I’ve tried temporarily increasing folder and file permissions to 777 (from wp-content in).

If it’s a permissions issues can you be specific about which folders/files and which permissions to set?

btw, ideally I’d like to have a logo to the left and text page title and tagline centered. Is this doable?

    Thanks,
    Scott

Customizer does not work in Twenty Twelve.

I think what’s common in this is the files on the server and so, permissions.

Will search then if not already covered elsewhere then post in the other forums.

Thanks for persevering with me on this.

You’re welcome…it could be the permissions, so I would recommend posting this issue within the WordPress forums and see if anyone else knows what to look for. I’m guessing you can upload image files to your Media Library?

    Haven’t tried recently…Will, though

But first, after browsing though some posts I looked at my settings and see something off under “store uploads in the folder”. I recently moved to new host. what in the window looks like it goes to the old host…will track down the correct info next…

Put path in that new host provided.

Now: it act like it uploads image, but it’s empty. It’s a narrow little outline with nothing in it. Also, now it has a link to remove image.

This may not be theme related but thought if I posted it, it may be an issue your familiar with.

    Thanks,
    Scott

Also, when I look at the folders upload/2013/8 the images are there.

This one I’m not sure about…perhaps others in the WordPress forums might have seen this before. Usually if a site was moved including images there could be path issues. I know before when I moved images by uploading the folders, they did not appear in the media library, I basically had to upload them again, although that probably isn’t the right way.

So it appears this is not a theme related issue. It’s best to move this topic to the other forums for troubleshooting where more people will see it and hopefully respond.

    Yes, will do.

btw, when I go to uploads tab in customizer and right click on the image then choose image info I get this info:
    Location: https://scottswebshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/AI_RGB2Trans5.png
    Type: text/html
    Dimensions: 0px × 0px (scaled to 217px × 0px)

So file’s getting up there but something’s interfering.

Also same with Twenty Twelve theme.

    Thanks again.

Upload issue resolved: tech gave me path based on my old path but I forgot to mention to him that I’d moved site from blog to static front page. When we adjusted path in settings>media the image file uploaded.

The logo is a bit overwhelming so need to work on it a bit.

Meanwhile I see two options going forward:

    1. Title, tagline and logo something like it is now using alt tags for accessiblity and seo.

    2. Upload the logo and place it to the left of text title/tagline. You mention this would involve some custom coding of the theme. Would you point me in the direction where I would do this?

Any other thoughts on these two options would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your excellent support. If this theme continues to work out as I expect I’ll be purchasing it.

For this theme, there’s just the two options of a text based title and tagline or an image logo only. Regarding the other part of customization, support does not cover this and to do that kind of work, you will need to be comfortable with the basics of coding and be able to open the files up and make the changes. Unfortunately it’s not a quick simple thing to do and you’re done; you have to modify html, css, and php code.

The only thing I can suggest that would be easy is to create a logo image with the full layout of your logo and text as an image.

As a side note, I think I will start adding that as a third option for my future themes, so everyone will be able to use text based title and tagline with an image to the left (or top).

Thank you for this explanation. I am comfortable with files in templates, html, & css. Not so much with php so will work on creating an image as you describe.

I of course would welcome the third option if you add that to later themes.

Again, Thank you for your good theme work and assistance here.
