    Hi,
    In Internet Explorer the logo makes the nav bar moving below the logo.
    What could be wrong?

    @markusjj can’t you send a screenshot with the theme demo appearing in your IE9 – of course after finishing your joint…

    (@markusjj)

    Anything for you my friend…. Here are the links to 2 screenshots from front page of the demo on IE9. I hope you can access them on my Dropbox account.

    Is that what you expected?

    OK, thanks!
    So it IS true IE9 is showing squares?!?

    markusjj

    (@markusjj)

    Well, if this is the problem in question, then Nikeo might have to decide (as in prioritize) what to do about it. But perhaps since the theme is advertised to be IE9 compatible, some IE-specific hack might be in order for future release(s)….

    Is is above my head. I do not personally find the issue of squares vs. circles grossly objectionable. However, I do understand and accept that some users might.

    And for the record, I do abhor IE. I wish it just died away and vanished. It has always been a developers’ nightmare with all non-compliances. But I do understand that users will continue using it. And we’ll have to live with this monstrosity. These screenshots I took from were from an ancient Windows Vista laptop I had drag out of the attic.

    Don’t know what else to say. I’m a mac user. ??

    Thanks.
    So the question is: why advertising to be IE9 compatible (when it’s at least not by us)?

    Theme Author presscustomizr

    (@nikeo)

    Hi @apestaartje, the theme is compatible with IE9 but as IE9 doesn’t support CSS3 technology, I had to create fallback solutions for some parts of the theme.
    Have fun with the theme.
    PS : there’s currently an issue with the slider transitions with IE7,8,9 but it is due to a problem on the last version update and I will fix it today.
    Cheers

    Hi @nikeo. Thanks for the message.
    If I had knew from the beginning “some parts of the theme” in IE9 don’t work, it would have cost me a lot of time reading, discussing en stressing.
    Anyway no problems found in IE10.
    Cheers

    PS: A short question about the footer if I may ask: How can I get rid of the ‘designed by’ text without using a child time? Thanks a lot!

    Theme Author presscustomizr

    (@nikeo)

    Hi, whithout using a child theme, here’s what you can paste in your custom CSS (in the customizer option panel) :

    .span4.credits> p > a:nth-child(2) {
    display: none;
    }
    .span4.credits > p {
    color: #FFF!important;
    }

    And that should do the trick! I look forward to reading your feedback about this snippet.

    Also, you can try this snippet:

    On a side note, @apestaartje, while we do understand that it’s been frustrating and time-consuming to you, please try to emphasize here with Nikeo and volunteers who are also slaving under high stress trying to satisfy everybody (which of course is not possible). I do not know if these guys get any sleep at night. I know that hundreds of hours went into the software development of this theme. And they get no financial compensation for their work. They provide tremendously valuable services to the WP community. They are not a “company”; they just give away their work product freely to the community. I think we should all be grateful and thankful.

    Also, please understand that the complexities of browser cross-compatibility issues are overwhelming. I used to manage software development teams in the past; and these issues are some of the hardest to resolve. (It’s like hacking around and fixing other peoples’ bugs.) So the fallback implemented by Nikeo is probably the only possible solution for IE9.

    Disclaimer: I am not on this team; but I respect what has been done here. Customizr is one of the greatest free or paid themes — based on outstanding Bootsrap responsive framework. I am really grateful for what Nikeo are doing here!

    @markusjj : thanks! (I do sleep at night :-D, well for the moment… )

    (@apestaartje)

    @nikeo Snippet is good!
    Not that’s a problem now, but how can I get rid of the hyperlink of the title in the footer? And how can I add some text to the footer?
    I do agree with markusjj: I realise volunteers like Nikeo are spending many hours to build a nice theme and make it work. Much appreciation from me!

    @markusjj Thanks again for your help!
