When i want to logout it links directly to the root and trys to find the login.php. Of coarse it is not there but in the directory. Why does it not link to the right file in the directory?
I have not changed anything. just installed it!
Also the same thing for comment from a reader. When they want to post the comment it also links to a php file in the root instead of directory.
How can I fix this as being a php newby.

    thanks

Probably a link to your site would be helpful for those who might try to help you…

Have you set up the correct address in your options? It should be the blog address, not your website root address.

Instead of logout to https://www.domainname/directory/wp-login.php? action= logout
it goes to https://www.domainname/wp-login.php? action= logout
    same for comments
al the wp content is in the directory.
I have set the correct webaddress in options.

I have the same problem, see above.
    my blog is here:
    https://www.hoffmanns.nl/vertellingen
please try to pst a comment and check the link in the status bar. You will see it links to the root and not to the directory. I cannot find were to change this as all the settings in WP are to the siredtory.
Also I can only logout when I type it in manually. Not on the log out link in wp
