In two installs on the same server, I’m seeing this error when trying to run any job:

Logs folder does not exist and cannot be created. Please create it and set proper write permissions.

However, I have checked and double-checked the permissions on the folder, and the entire folder structure, and it definitely does exist and has the correct permissions.

I have even had the host’s support department confirm that all is well with the permissions.

    Thanks

Ran into same issue as described in original post. Uninstalling & re-installing the plugin worked for me.

Like Justin and a few others, I had the same issue on 2 websites this week where I have never had the issue before. I uninstalled & re-installed the plugin and it worked perfectly.

I did notice that the “Folder to store backups in” under backup settings did get reset and changed. The path here was somehow refreshed during the un/re-install process and that corrected the problem.

I too changed hosts. Resetting all settings to default button fixed things…under BackWPUp>settings>general (and then reauthorizing my connection to dropbox, but the unable to connect error made that fairly obvious).

Wish i’d found this ‘Resetting all settings to default button’ before i messed around with a bunch of files, folders, and permissions.

    Hi there,
I’m using this plugin in a lot of website all hosted in the same sever, but from today .. I got this error, and I can’t launch
    the plugin for the backup.

    This is the error:

    Cannot create folder: /data/23/2/30/142/2682794/user/2946115/htdocs/2k14/wp-content/uploads/backwpup-4babf5-logs

Can somebody help me to resolve this?
    Thank you

Hi @pagana, this support thread has been set as resolved. Your best bet is to start a new support thread or you can read the following one which has an issue similar to yours…..

    cannot-create-folder-1

    Kind regards
