    How should I optimize/manage my excerpts which may be too long and are being identified by tools like Moz? I would like to adjust the excerpt length for existing custom post types.

    Hi @ixodie

    Could you let us know which snippet variables you are entering in the meta description field of the Yoast SEO meta box? We do know that if you use the excerpt variable, it should, by default, trim down to the first 55 words in the content.
