long filenames in folder wp-content/cache/minify/000000

    I already tried to retrieve some info, but could not find any.
    So, i hope i won’t annoy anyone with this question.
    Under ?wp-content/cache/minify/000000? i found a pile of files with very long filenames and all ending with ?.old?.
    These files result in an error when performing a backup with ?BackWPup? Plugin. Can i delete these files? My current W3 TC configuration is set to Minify manual.
