• Hi there,

    I’m a wordpress newbie.
My site, https://www.microsheep.com/ takes a long time to load its first page: about 10 seconds.

Is that considered to be long loading time? To me it is…
I used to run my site on Joomla and it was much faster.

I’ve looked in some posts and saw mainly reference to heavy content (large images etc.), but my problem is the time it takes before my visitor see anything at all (as said, ~10sec).

Is 10sec considered to be normal?
What is considered to be normal loading time?
How can I debug and fix it?

    Some info:
Wordpress version 2.7.1 (why don’t I get the “Update to 2.8” banner?).
    Shared hosted on aPlus.
    Theme created by myself.
    7 posts, 4 pages all together…
11 plugins (quite standard): Akismet, Filosofo Google Ad Sectioning, Kimili Flash Embed, Lightbox 2, WordPress Database Backup, wp-cache, WP-PostRatings, WP-PostRatings Widget, WP-PostViews, WP-PostViews Widget, WP Wall

Appriciate any help on this issue,
    Thanks,
    Microsheep
